computer Training Providers
toothius asked:

I am a new stay-at-home-dad after leaving the teaching profession. I was an elementary school teacher who realized it was time for a change. My wife is also a teacher who makes more than I did. While I am home with my sixteen-month-old daughter, I want to pursue computer training at night so I can provide better for my family. I have read many posts that say to find your passion and a related job, but after much soul-searching, I don’ t have any big passions other than being passionate about wanting to be a good provider. I do spend a lot of time in front of the computer, have created several simple web pages, and was always a “go to” person at school when people needed help with computers. I have one friend who is a Systems Analyst with security clearance. He likes what he does but says that it may be easier for me to learn Oracle and become a dba. I also wonder about programming. I’ll be 35 this month. I live in the Chicago suburbs. Thanks for any advice.
I forgot to add that I would cease staying home once I got the training and a job.
